You pay for responders, not for people you notify.
A responder signs in, holds key shares, approves access and runs playbooks. A recipient just receives alerts — they never need an account, and they are free on every plan, however many of them there are.

Two things we will not do
Charge you per person notified
Mass notification tools bill per contact, which quietly pushes you toward notifying fewer people during an emergency. Recipients are free here, always.
Cut off the emergency path over a payment
A failed card restricts the console — inviting people, authoring new playbooks. It never stops an escalation, a decryption quorum or a running playbook. A company in the middle of the incident that emptied its bank account is exactly the company that needs this to keep working.
Questions people actually ask
What counts as a responder seat?
Anyone who signs in. On paid plans the seat count follows your active membership automatically — there is no separate step to buy a seat, because refusing to add a responder mid-incident would be indefensible.
What is an emergency message?
One notification to one recipient on one channel. An alert reaching 40 people by email and then escalating 12 of them to SMS is 52. Documents, secrets, playbooks and audit events are never metered.
What happens if we exceed the monthly allowance?
On a paid plan the message goes out and an overage pack is added to your invoice. We will not drop an emergency notification to enforce a billing boundary. Free plans are capped, because an unmetered free tier with SMS is a spam cannon.
Can we get our data out?
Yes — audit logs and evidence packs export as JSON. Secrets export as ciphertext plus your key shares, which your holders can decrypt with a quorum exactly as they do inside the product. We cannot decrypt them for you even if you ask.
